The 31-storey Radisson RED Sydney Haymarket will be a new-build lifestyle hotel developed in partnership with Ceerose. The project marks Radisson Hotel Group’s first Radisson RED property in Australia and will place the brand at the southern end of Sydney’s CBD.
The hotel will be about 200 metres from Central Station and 6.3 kilometres from Sydney Airport. Sydney Light Rail’s Haymarket station, Chinatown, Darling Harbour, the International Convention Centre, several universities and the emerging Tech Central precinct are also nearby. The location gives the planned hotel close links to major transport infrastructure and a range of established city destinations, including visitor, commercial and cultural precincts.
What the hotel will offer

The property is planned with 328 rooms, alongside a restaurant, lobby café-bar and pool bar. An outdoor swimming pool and fitness centre will also form part of the development, while 218 square metres of meeting space is planned for the hotel.
There will also be a dedicated lounge for early check-ins and late check-outs, giving guests an additional space to use around their travel schedules. The hotel will follow Radisson RED’s lifestyle format, which focuses on bold design, social spaces, music, art and a more informal approach to the hotel experience.
A new hotel near Central

Radisson Hotel Group said the new-build tower will become a prominent addition to Sydney’s southern skyline, overlooking the heritage Grand Clock Tower at Central Station.
For Ceerose, the development is intended to create a lifestyle hotel reflecting the changing character of the area. Ceerose founder and managing director Edward Doueihi has pointed to the site’s position near Central Station, Tech Central and other visitor and business precincts as part of the project’s appeal.
Radisson Hotel Group executive vice president and global chief development officer Elie Younes has described the Australian signing as an important milestone in the company’s Australasia expansion plans.

The Sydney project therefore marks the Radisson RED brand’s entry into Australia, while giving Haymarket another planned hotel development close to one of Sydney’s major transport hubs.
When Radisson RED Sydney Haymarket opens in 2029, the property is planned to combine accommodation, dining, leisure and meeting facilities within the southern CBD precinct.
