Taking over the temporarily closed Paddock Café at 509 Crown Street in Surry Hills, Tacos Muchachos will offer takeaways of authentic and tasty tacos, burritos, and nachos.

The menu includes a number of really great specials like the famous quesabirria, al pastor tostadas with grilled pineapple, and El Muchacho’s burrito (best with the chef’s special campechano filling). For drinks, there will be some fuego margaritas and a special Agua Fresca drink, a traditional hibiscus infused fruit drink that also comes with a spiked version.

All the corn tortillas are proudly handmade each day and they use a ‘trompo’ or a vertical rotisserie straight from Mexico. The volcanic rock bricks ensure their achiote marinated pork is cooked to perfection, making it smokey with a crispy outside. They marinate the pork for 24 hours in a special adobo and achiote marinade to give it a smoky taste like no other – juicy and succulent with a nice char.
